No date but the Traverse City Lyric Theatre opened on Front Street on the 4th of July, 1916. Ticket prices were 15 cents for adults and 5 cents for children. It was destroyed twice by fire and resurrected. Then in 1949 it was rebuilt as the State Theatre.
